In December 2009, I worked on a project with Nigel Bluck, cinematographer. After the project, I waved my hand toward him to say “bye”, and he peace signed me to say “bye”. I regreted that I didn’t photograph his peace sign because it was nice. On June 8, 2010 I went to see Nigel to photograph him when he peace signed. I asked why he used peace sign. He said “I peace people to say goodbye because I think it is a nice soft positive sign and just something good to part with… It’s just a reflex.” I asked him what his romance was. He said, “romance is what turns people on - to be a romantic is to be turned on, excited by things … Inspired”
When we were talking, he showed me a picture of a landscape in Australia which he had taken. The picture seemed to be foggy, but he told me it was sandstorm. This time I tried to photograph his peace sign, however something happened and still not able to capture it.
