I saw a woman whose name was EL Grace, playing the flute at 18th Street and 6 Avenue on June 14, 2010.  I walked after her while she was playing the flute to 14th Street and 5 Avenue.  Then, I asked her what kind of instrument that was.  She said, “a native American gypsy flute.”  I asked her why she was playing the flute on the street.  She said, “to calm the people.”  I thought she answered my question, so I didn’t ask her what her romance was.
