I met Randolfe Wicker, producer and videographer, outside of a shop on Broadway around 27th street on May 19, 2010. When he came out, I asked him what he was doing and what his romance was. He said, “I was buying a woman’s belt because I like to mix genders, male and female.” He continued, “I created a new word “transaged” and I call myself “a transaged man.” Transaged doesn’t exist in a library. Transaged means an young man trapped in an old body. My definition being young: Young people are curious. Young people are enthusiastic. Young people are always looking to learn something new. Trouble is that most people get stuck in time when they get older, but not transaged people. I am very fortunate! I had a friend died didn’t want to see a movie made after 1996. I am a young person, basically trapped in an old body. I just discovered Japanese pop music at age of 67.” Then, he asked me if I wanted to know what his romance was. He said, “I want to be a member of Japanese pop rock bands. I want to go out there and have everyone screams.”
