I met Raquel Nave, model and photographer, at her apartment in Brooklyn on December 16, 2010. I said, “I was shooting legs at lunchtime in Midtown Manhattan. There was a man who was wearing a skirt and screaming Keep Romance Alive! Keep Romance Alive!” She said, “oh, that’s awesome! That’s amazing!” I asked her what her romance was.
She said, “romance is doing little things for each other. Little things like when your partner comes home and bought you a lemonade without even asking. It’s a little thing to do for someone you love. You’ve been listening to them. You’ve been thinking of them. Just a little thing. It’s not roses or chocolates. Keeping someone in mind. A glass of lemonade without asking. An ice cream bar because I’m pregnant. Just a little thing.”
Do you know what the little thing of someone you love is?
