I met Tomorowo Taguchi, director and actor, at an Irish bar after his premiere “Oh, My Buddha!” at Japan Society in NYC.  I asked him what his romance was.  He said, “as an actor, I can do what I can not do in real life. People wouldn’t hate me if I do something unusual when acting.  My romance is there.  My romance is Film.  I direct and act.  Anything that is related to Film is very romantic.”  I wanted to ask more questions, but he said he was too drunk. He didn’t looked drunk to me though. What is it about his behavior that makes him think or worry people would hate him?
