I met Ron Patane, filmmaker, at a tennis court in Astoria on July 27, 2010.  I asked him what his romance was.  He said, “I don’t know.  I have romance with many things.  I think everything that I love is romance to me.  Whether food, music, my wife, all my friends, all my enemies….  I like to look at everything in a romantic way.”  I asked him if he could explain to me that why enemies are romantic.  He said, “romance is ideal thing inside of mind.  It’s human.  It’s hard to find a world without a person or people.  I think that enemies have something you want.  They always have something you want.  You have something they want.  Romance is in jealousy.”
