I met Sera, filmmaker, at Ace Hotel on August 6, 2010.  I asked her what her romance was.  She said, “I feel like I always try to keep with the Shelley, Byron tradition.  Surely this is not applicable to modern times.  But I was having a romance with someone who this week went into electroshock therapy.  Seriously, can you believe it?  Like very very very very very upsetting.  Every moment when I have free thought, I think about this person.  Perhaps this is the modern romanticism, no?  I have to say, because this has happened to me in real life and I didn’t think that this would happen.”
